We bought this prior to a five day cross-country trip and were really happy we did. Previously, driving our cat on short trips in a plastic carrier was a nightmarish experience of yowling misery. We thought a long car trip would be too heavy a test for our hearts and ears. But we gave it a shot anyway and hoped that with a more comfortable home, she would settle in. Which is exactly what happened. The carrier is large enough for her to stand and turn around in, and the bed that comes with it is actually quite soft and appealing. The sturdy frame was a plus, as we had the car pretty full of our belongings and were worried about poorly-packed objects threatening to tumble down on her. Construction seems good, although we have not used it long-term so I can't speak to whether the materials or stitching hold up over time. The fact that it made our big move easier made it worth it regardless.
